Mandatory Gear

Individual Gear:

Mountain bike

Bike helmet

Whistle


Team Gear:

Compass (sighting compass recommended)

Waterproof map/passport container

Basic first aid kit containing:

- 4 - 4X4 gauze pads

- 3" ace bandage

- roll 1" waterproof medical tape

- 3 doses of pain killer (Tylenol)

- 3 doses anti-inflammatory (Advil, Ibuprofen)

- antibacterial ointment

- 4 alcohol, betadine, or antiseptic swabs

- moleskin

- tweezers

Cell phone in waterproof container

Notes:

Cell phones are for emergency purposes only. Note that service may not be available on all parts of the course, so having a team plan for sending someone for help in case of emergency is advised.

All mandatory gear must be approved at check-in by race staff. Mandatory gear will also be checked at various points during the race.


Provided gear includes boats, paddles, PFD's, race passports/instructions and course maps.
