I'd like to thank everyone for your interest and support. The racers endured a cool day of drizzly rain, slick trails, and a choppy lake. The volunteers who helped make it all work deserve a big hand. The sponsors who provided prizes and great swag deserve a hand. Despite the cool damp weather, most everything seemed to work out fairly well. No one was seriously injured, the racers worked up enough appetite to polish off 48 pizzas in a matter of minutes, and I came away inspired enough to start planning the next AR.

There was quite a bit of talk after the races about teams skipping CP's and/or sections, about teams not following the order of sections as printed on the control sheet, about teams splitting up to visit CP's, about teams sharing letter codes with other teams, and so on. There were some choices I made as race director that allowed some of these things to be possible, but after reviewing the punch cards and TA check-in times in detail, I feel confidant that the majority of adventure racers conducted themselves with the integrity and honesty that exemplifies AR at it's best. I promise the next Bushwhack Adventures AR will be set up differently, to avoid presenting racers with unnecessary temptations or confusing instructions.
